Sophia Mapara

From having a loved one in palliative care and from my own experience as a patient in the maternity unit, I’ve become well acquainted with The Moncton Hospital and have personally felt the impact the Foundation has had in helping The Moncton Hospital provide innovative and extraordinary care to the community. I am thrilled to serve on the Foundation’s Board and collaborate with its enthusiastic team!

I am relatively new to New Brunswick, having moved here in 2019 from Western Canada. Since then, I’ve been exploring the Maritimes, meeting amazing people, parenting two busy children, volunteering in the community, and practicing business law at McInnes Cooper, where I specialize in corporate governance, commercial law and corporate finance and securities. I am grateful for this opportunity to give back to the Hospital and help navigate its growth through these challenging times.
